Hello,

 

I have spent the past several ​years as a Technical Director in high school theatre, I know what it really takes to make a show happen: working fast, stretching tight budgets, and finding creative solutions when things don’t go as planned.

I also worked at one of Chicagoland’s premier regional theatres, where I worked as a Properties Design Assistant. That’s where I fell in love with the subtle details, the little touches that breathe life into a story. They’re the first to be sacrificed when time or money runs short, but they can also be the moments that make a show feel truly special, for the actors and the audience!

I’ve watched educators and students pour their hearts into productions, often making do with whatever they can find. And too often, great ideas get watered down simply because the resources aren’t accessible. That’s why we started SKL Props: to bring high-quality, thoughtfully crafted props, puppets, and set dressings within reach for schools, community theatres, and productions of all kinds.
